How Bird Blocker Brushes Work

Memtech Bird Blocker brush seals are installed along the lintel (top) of the door opening to prevent birds from entering through the gap between the rolling steel door and the building structure. This top gap is often larger on tall rolling steel doors—commonly found at rail car doors and food facilities—making it an easy entry point for flying pests.

Unlike typical weather stripping with softer bristles, Bird Blocker brushes use stronger, more rigid bristles designed specifically to stop birds from pushing through. Once installed, they also help reduce dust infiltration and improve temperature control near the door opening.
