Brush Seals and Weather Seals Door Installation
Sides and Top

STOP! - BEFORE CUTTING PLEASE READ - CLICK HERE

Step 1:
Start by measuring top for full width strip.  Cut to length and put strip in place;  pressing against closed door enough to bend brush as needed.  Mark a line at this point or punch in end screw holes.
(you may omit step 4 in cutting instructions, as brush cannot slide out in this position)

Top corners should be notched to create a good joint:  at top of side strip, make a 35° cut ½" down and another vertical cut to remove piece as shown - use a piece of strip to mark 35° angle.

Step 2:
Tighten all screws in place.

Step 3:
On hinge side, measure and cut to butt up against top piece and flush to bottom.
NOTE:  on this side, the  brush must be set carefully, so that it is not pinched behind the door back as it closes.  Fasten lightly in place and move in or out until the door closes with a proper seal without pulling brush into the crack.

Step 4:
Making sure it doesn't pinch, screw strip in final position.

Step 5:
The latch-side seal requires only to measure, cut and fasten in place in the manner by which you have now become an expert.
